'The success of this book is in its ability to explore inclusion from a wide perspective. Offering a range of thought-provoking material, such as reflective questions, debates and controversies, practitioner, parent and children's views, legislation, activities, and examples of good practice, will keep readers interested and actively engaged throughout the book'

Will be very helpful for my students undertaking EDI modules
This book is recommended as essential reading on a core Early Childhood Studies module.
This underpins a large proportion of the Diversity and Inclusion modules on our Foundation degree in Early Childhood Studies.
I'm currently teaching Equality and Diversity to my degree students. I found the case studies and the review questions really good and useful in my sessions. The book is a good read with lots of examples and nice ideas which are thought provoking. I've recommended it to my students.
A user-friendly resource book for students of early years and practitioners alike. It offers a comprehensive overview of inclusion issues surrounding race, gender, culture, traveller children and English as a second language.
There only few good books covering inclusion in early year settings and this is one of those. It covers almost all aspects of inclusion with its broader meaning. It provides an overview of current policies and practice enriched by several research examples, concerning equality and diversity in inclusive early years settings. A very good way to introduce inclusion with its broader meaning to undergraduate students who aim to become practitioners (and not only).
Case studies and examples of good practice are especially helpful. Chapter titles make the book easy to navigate.
Useful tasks and case studies support students to contextualise.
really informative book, good subjects discussed
For those trainees interested in ALN and SEN this makes an interesting and informative addition.
