This is an excellent textbook. I am very familiar with the use of simulation as a learning tool but have found that this book is supportive of how I am developing my practice in the field. I feel that the lay out is very useful and I did particularly like the system based approach for some of the chapters. Although the book is based in the adult domain of nursing it is easily transferable to all other areas of nursing and is supportive of the educator in practice. I also found the chapter on conflict excellent. It will enable the practitioner to manage situations that are based in the client arena but also in the workplace too. It provides the educator in practice and academia with the opportunity to replicate practice situations and thus enables the student to learn in a safe environment that will give them confidence in the real world situation. A splendid text that supports the team and individuals learning .
