Margaret Walsh Keene State College, USA
Margaret Walsh specializes in research methods and service-learning courses where students write proposals applying a variety of tools within the discipline. Typically, we partner with local social service programs to address needs in our own community. Projects have ranged from studying the wage gap, to after-school education programs, to family services. For the last 15 years, Walsh has taught sociology to undergraduates in New England. Her research currently focuses on the impact of financial education on low- and middle-income families who wish to buy homes. Walsh enjoys advising students about study abroad and internship options and working with them on their transition from the university into the workplace.
