Laura Linnan is Professor of Health Behavior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Director of the Carolina Collaborative for Research on Work and Health, which brings together faculty from many disciplines, as well as state/local government officials, representatives from health care organizations, employers and nonprofits, to stimulate new research on topics which intersect issues of work, health and family life. She conducts applied intervention research to prevent and control chronic diseases, especially cancer, CVD/stroke and diabetes. Dr. Linnan is a member of the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and Center for Urban and Regional Planning, a fellow of the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, and collaborates with the Institute on Aging and the Injury Prevention Center.
