Dr. Kaori Takano is a Japanese national teaching business in the United States. After she worked 9 years for Coca-Cola in Japan, she earned an MBA in the United States. She worked as sales associate in the Cancun hotel zone while editing anthropological books published in Mexico, she returned to the United States to earn a PhD and in 2011 moved to Durango, Colorado, to teach international business. Her research interests include corporate social responsibility, organizational behavior, public policy, school-business partnerships, corporate communication, and cross-cultural management. Her research has been published in the Social Responsibility Journal, Public Relations Review, and a publication of The International Institute for Asian Studies. She currently represents her school in the Southern Colorado Higher Education Consortium (SCHEC) to promote ethics education across disciplines.
