Joanna Thorn University of Bristol, UK

Dr Joanna Thorn is a Research Fellow working in the Health Economics at Bristol (HEB) research group at the University of Bristol.  She received her PhD in Chemistry from the University of Exeter, before changing direction and receiving her MSc in Health Economics and Health Policy  from the University of Birmingham. She teaches on courses covering health economics and questionnaire design, with a focus on costing methodology. Her research interests centre on improving the ways in which we measure resource use through patient self-reported questionnaires or the use of routinely collected data sets.  She has published in a wide range of peer-reviewed journals, including discipline leaders PharmacoEconomics and Value in Health.
