Amy E. Stich Northern Illinois University, USA

Amy E. Stich is an assistant professor at Northern Illinois University. Her research focuses on social class and inequality of access, opportunity, and outcome at the secondary and postsecondary levels. Her first book, Access to Inequality: Reconsidering Class, Knowledge and Capital in Higher Education, was published in 2012 with Lexington Books. Stich has published widely in academic journals, including, but not limited to, the British Journal of Sociology of Education, Review of Educational Research, Qualitative Inquiry, Ethnography and Education, and most recently, the American Educational Research Journal. Stich is currently conducting qualitative research on the structure and unintended social consequences of postsecondary tracking.
