Alexander Komashie received a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana, and an MSc in Advanced Manufacturing Systems and PhD in Systems Engineering from Brunel University, London, UK. Alexander worked in the Cambridge University Engineering Design Centre (EDC) and National Institute for Health Research Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (NIHR CLAHRC) for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough from 2009 to 2013. He returned to join the EDC and CLAHRC East of England in 2014 after a year in Oxford University studying Christian Apologetics. His research interests are in the application of Queuing Theory, Discrete Event Simulation (DES), Agent-Based Modeling (ABM), Systems Dynamics (SD), Complex Systems Design, and the Engineering Design Process for improving healthcare delivery.
